You know when people say it’s ok to lean on others for support? Well this last week I truly did, friends and family members got me through the days. The friends that said they’d be there no matter what, were.
I can’t believe that still 4 months post diagnosis I am having these episodes, and it really made me think I was going to be this way forever, but I won’t. But that’s not to say that I won’t still lean on people that I trust either. I had to take my first time off sick, which I’m not good at doing and managed to still do half days on two days last week and worked full days the rest, but even my work is supportive and they don’t look at my mental health any different to how they view someone else’s physical illness, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.
My moral of last weeks story? Lean on those you trust, but be there for when they need you too!
